Sunday: Worship
Pray: Begin by making the sign of the cross and calling upon God’s name.
From God to us, from death to life, from me to you … in the name of the Father, and of the Son + and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Lord God, we praise and thank you for all the blessings you give us. We especially thank you for the gift of forgiveness, by which you change our lives in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Listen: Listen carefully as these verses from the Bible are read aloud.
Psalm 86:8-10
No other gods are like you; only you work miracles. 9 You created each nation, and they will all bow down to worship and honor you. 10 You perform great wonders, because you alone are God. (CEV)
Engage: Talk about the Bible by having parents respond to children’s questions.
Child: What are some amazing things that you know God is doing in the world?
Child: What does it mean to bow down to worship and honor the Lord?
Affirm: Pray for God to put his Word into action in your daily life.
Holy Lord, you are great and mighty, and you rule over all things. Help us to live our lives in a way that honors you and gives you glory. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
