Pray: Begin by making the sign of the cross and calling upon God’s name.
From God to us, from death to life, from me to you … in the name of the Father, and of the Son + and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Gracious Lord God, we are so thankful to have this time together to rest and study your Word. Be with us now, and inspire us as we learn. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Listen: Pay close attention as these verses from the Bible are read aloud.
All your works shall give thanks to you, O LORD, and all your saints shall bless you! They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power, to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. The LORD is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works. (CEV)
Engage: Talk about the Bible by having parents respond to children’s questions.
Child: What are some of the mighty deeds of God? What is the most amazing thing that God has made, in your opinion? How can we make sure that others know about God’s love and power?
Child: What do you feel most thankful to God for? What has God done in your life to bless you?
Affirm: Pray for God to put his Word into action in your daily life.
Lord God, help us to tell others about your great deeds. Thank you for all that you do for your people, each and every day. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Have each person in the family bless one another with these words.
May you tell others about God’s love! Amen.
